So i have this DR650 that I got for free over the summer. Never got around to working/riding on it, mainly because I didnt have the keys to it. PO lost them

Kinja'd!!!

PO is a very good friend of mine, we are in several groups together (SV riders, whatsapp chats, etc etc) he messaged me today and told me he found the keys to the bike :)

Got a lede on a dude wanting to get rid of a Yamaha?  SxS for like $100 because he ran it through super deep water.

In Florida you can make them street legal. I sense a hilarious project if I can get ahold of it.

How hard are motorcycles to repair? I kind of want to do one as a winter project considering the barrier to entry is much less.

They’re generally easier in my experience. Everything is sort of there in front of you, there’s not as much fighting with the position of things because you can always just take the whole damn engine out and toss it up on the table.

what thunderbolt said. its a lot easier because they are smaller and there is physically less between you and your goal.

THAT said, you have to be VERY careful when putting it back together. a loose bolt on a car mean you lose an alternator or something. a loose bolt on a bike could mean a hell of alot worse.

I know, but I was planning on flipping this. Dont want it to look like it was stolen.

plus steering lock and gas tank lock.

If you were closer I could definitely add a zero. Two zeros aren’t in any version of my budget these days. I can’t even get that for my Roadmaster.
